RWC 2011 Roadshow in Whangarei
Whāngārei painted it red this morning.
Hundreds of people turned out, many in red costumes and face-painted faces to support the three teams they will be hosting - Tonga, Canada and Japan. The best-dressed fans and match ticket winners were Rosemary and her 11-week-old son David who was dressed as a Canadian Rugby ball and 10-year-old Boston who dressed as a Canadian fan complete with maple-leaf hat. We continue our trip north tomorrow to Paihia in the Bay of Islands and onto Kaitāia on Friday.
