The Australian rugby team will spend four days in Hanmer Springs this weekend on the back of their game against the United States in Wellington on Friday. Hanmer Springs is opening its arms to the Wallabies to make them feel welcome. The Wallabies will be provided with 30 mountain bikes for team members to use to get around the village, and the team will have open access to the Thermal Pools complex for some much needed rest and recuperation. A training session is going to be held at the Hanmer Springs Rugby Grounds on Tuesday 27 September and will be open to the public. There will be a number of visiting school teams watching the training session, and 12 lucky players will take part in an interactive session – including four Hanmer Springs boys. The team will be available to meet the visiting public following training. Make plans to be part of our own Rugby Celebrations here at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa this weekend.
